Maruti Suzuki Slashes Prices by Up to ₹1.30 Lakh Across Its Lineup

Maruti Suzuki has announced a major price reduction across its Arena and Nexa range, passing on the benefits of the new GST 2.0 reforms directly to customers. With cuts going up to ₹1.30 lakh, popular hatchbacks, SUVs, MPVs, and even commercial models from the country’s largest carmaker have now become significantly more affordable.

Entry-Level Hatchbacks Get More Affordable

The biggest beneficiary of the price revision is the Maruti S-Presso, which now starts at ₹3.49 lakh (ex-showroom) after a reduction of up to ₹1.29 lakh. The Alto K10 also sees a major cut of up to ₹1.07 lakh, bringing its new starting price to ₹3.69 lakh. Other affordable models like the Celerio and WagonR are now priced at ₹4.99 lakh and ₹4.69 lakh, respectively, with benefits of nearly ₹1 lakh. The Ignis, positioned under Nexa, also gets cheaper by ₹71,300, now starting at ₹5.35 lakh.

Popular Hatchbacks : Swift & Baleno

Among Maruti’s bestsellers, the Swift now begins at ₹5.79 lakh, following a cut of up to ₹84,600, while the Baleno has received a similar reduction of ₹86,100, bringing its new starting price to ₹5.99 lakh.

Compact Sedans and Tour Models

Buyers looking at compact sedans will also benefit, with the Dzire now starting at ₹6.25 lakh after a cut of up to ₹87,700. The fleet-focused Tour S is now priced at ₹6.23 lakh, lower by up to ₹67,200.

SUVs See Major Price Drops

The biggest relief comes in the SUV category. The Maruti Fronx is now up to ₹1.12 lakh cheaper, starting from ₹6.85 lakh. The ever-popular Brezza also gets a reduction of up to ₹1.12 lakh, bringing its entry price down to ₹8.26 lakh. Meanwhile, the Grand Vitara now starts at ₹10.76 lakh after a cut of ₹1.07 lakh. The rugged Jimny, however, sees a relatively smaller benefit of ₹51,900, with its base price now at ₹12.31 lakh.

MPVs and Commercial Models

Maruti’s MPV range, including the Ertiga, XL6, and Invicto, have also become more accessible. The Ertiga now starts at ₹8.80 lakh with savings of up to ₹46,400, while the XL6 is cheaper by ₹52,000. The premium Invicto, meanwhile, is now more affordable by up to ₹61,700, starting at ₹11.52 lakh.

On the commercial side, the Eeco van gets a reduction of up to ₹68,000, now priced at ₹5.18 lakh, and the Super Carry has dropped by ₹52,100 to a new starting price of ₹5.06 lakh.

👉 This marks one of the most significant price revisions by Maruti Suzuki in recent years, making its cars more competitive at a time when affordability is driving EVs, hybrids, and new compact SUVs into the spotlight.
