Royal Enfield 350cc Lineup Sees Major Price Drop After GST Revision

Royal Enfield has announced a significant price cut across its popular 350cc motorcycle range, with reductions going up to nearly Rs 20,000. This comes in the wake of the government’s revised GST structure, which lowered the tax slab for two-wheelers under 350cc engine capacity from 28 percent to 18 percent.

Big Relief for Buyers

Out of Royal Enfield’s 14 models on sale in India, nine sit above the 350cc mark. However, its 349cc J-platform motorcycles — including the Hunter 350, Bullet 350, Classic 350, Meteor 350 and the new Goan Classic — form the backbone of the brand’s sales in India. Starting September 22, all five will carry lower ex-showroom prices.

  • Hunter 350 now starts at Rs 1.38 lakh, making it the most affordable Royal Enfield in the country.

  • The Bullet 350 is cheaper by up to Rs 18,000, now priced from Rs 1.62 lakh.

  • The Classic 350, one of RE’s bestsellers, sees reductions of up to Rs 19,000, with prices starting at Rs 1.81 lakh.

  • The Meteor 350 range is now down by Rs 17,000–19,000, starting at Rs 1.91 lakh.

  • The recently launched Goan Classic enjoys the biggest cut of Rs 19,000, now priced from Rs 2.18 lakh.

What’s Next for Royal Enfield’s Buyers?

While the 350cc models have become more affordable, Royal Enfield’s 450cc and 650cc motorcycles are set to get more expensive soon. Price hikes of at least Rs 15,000 are expected across these larger-capacity models, with the 650 twins likely to see even steeper increases.
