Tata Motors Gearing Up for Festive Season with Four New SUVs

Tata Motors is set to launch a wave of new SUVs just in time for the festive season, including the highly anticipated Sierra EV and refreshed versions of the Nexon, Punch, and Punch EV.

Upcoming Updates to the Nexon and Punch

The 2025 Tata Nexon EV is getting a major upgrade with Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). This will include safety features like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and autonomous emergency braking.

The updated Tata Punch is expected to have minor cosmetic changes, such as a revised front grille, new bumpers, and different alloy wheels. Inside, it could get a new steering wheel, an updated climate control panel, and a revised instrument cluster. The engine options will remain the same, with the 87.8PS, 1.2L petrol and CNG variants continuing.

The Tata Punch EV is rumored to get a significant boost with a larger 45kWh battery pack, similar to the one in the Nexon EV. This is expected to deliver a claimed ARAI range of 489km on a single charge. The EV might also feature a larger infotainment screen, new upholstery, a 360-degree camera, and other added features.

The Return of an Icon: The Tata Sierra

The legendary Tata Sierra is making a comeback with a modern design and advanced technology. Initially, it will launch as an all-electric SUV, likely borrowing its powertrain from the Harrier EV. This means it could come with 65kWh and 75kWh battery pack options and an optional all-wheel-drive system. The Sierra EV is set to compete with models like the Hyundai Creta Electric and MG ZS EV.

The ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) version of the Sierra is slated for an early 2026 launch. It will feature a new 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and a 2.0L diesel engine. A 1.5L turbo petrol engine is also expected to be introduced later. This version will go head-to-head with mid-size SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
