Updated Maruti Ertiga and a New SUV: All the Latest News
Maruti Ertiga Gets New Updates
Maruti Suzuki’s popular MPV, the Ertiga, has quietly received some new updates. While the company hasn’t made an official announcement yet, the new features are now listed in the car’s brochure.
Key Highlights:
- Redesigned Rear Spoiler: All models of the 2025 Ertiga now come with a new, sportier rear roof spoiler that has black inserts.
- Improved AC Vents: The AC vents for the second row have been moved from the roof to a new position behind the front center console. The third row now gets its own dedicated AC vents with a fan control knob.
- New Charging Ports: The car now has two Type-C USB ports for both the second and third rows, making it easy for passengers to charge their devices.
Aside from these changes, the car’s design and engine remain the same. The 1.5L K-Series petrol engine still produces 102bhp and 136Nm of torque. The CNG variant makes 87bhp and 121.5Nm. You can choose between a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
New Maruti SUV Launching Tomorrow
Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch a brand new midsize SUV tomorrow, on September 3, 2025. This new SUV is expected to be named the Maruti Victoris.
It will be placed between the Brezza and Grand Vitara and will compete with the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
The Maruti Victoris will share its engines with the Grand Vitara, which means it will be available with:
- A 1.5L mild hybrid petrol engine
- A 1.5L strong hybrid engine
- A CNG variant
Reports say the Victoris will be the first Maruti model to offer a number of advanced features, including:
- Level-2 ADAS (autonomous driver assistance system)
- Dolby Atmos sound technology
- An underbody CNG tank, which frees up boot space
- An optional 4WD (four-wheel drive) system, unlike the Grand Vitara.
