Tata Motors Cuts Prices by Up to ₹1.55 Lakh After GST Reduction
Tata Motors has announced major price cuts across its car and SUV lineup, effective 22nd September 2025, following the recent GST rate revision. The company confirmed that it will pass on the entire tax benefit to customers.
The decision comes after the GST Council reduced tax rates on smaller vehicles—cars with petrol engines up to 1200cc, diesel engines up to 1500cc, and motorcycles under 350cc—from 28% to 18%, with the old slab now abolished. Meanwhile, larger SUVs, four-wheelers, and bikes above 350cc have also seen a tax drop, moving from the 50% bracket to 40% under the luxury goods category.
This revision translates into substantial price reductions across Tata’s portfolio, likely boosting demand during the upcoming festive season.
