Audi India Reduces Rates
Effective September 22, 2025, Audi India has lowered prices across its luxury car and SUV lineup, passing on the full benefits of the GST 2.0 reforms. The price cuts, which range from Rs 2.6 lakh to Rs 7.8 lakh, are intended to boost sales during the festive season.
The GST 2.0 reform simplifies the tax structure for automobiles, replacing the previous 28% GST plus cess with a uniform 40% GST for luxury and larger vehicles. This change has allowed Audi to update its ex-showroom prices.
Here is a breakdown of the price reductions by model:
- Audi A4: Reduced from Rs 48.89 lakh to Rs 46.25 lakh (a savings of Rs 2.64 lakh).
- Audi A6: Reduced from Rs 67.38 lakh to Rs 63.74 lakh (a savings of Rs 3.64 lakh).
- Audi Q3: Reduced from Rs 46.14 lakh to Rs 43.07 lakh (a savings of Rs 3.07 lakh).
- Audi Q5: Reduced from Rs 68.30 lakh to Rs 63.75 lakh (a savings of Rs 4.55 lakh).
- Audi Q7: Reduced from Rs 92.29 lakh to Rs 86.14 lakh (a savings of Rs 6.15 lakh).
- Audi Q8: Reduced from Rs 1.17 crore to Rs 1.09 crore (the largest cut, at Rs 7.83 lakh).
Audi is among other luxury automakers, including Mercedes-Benz and BMW, to offer these GST benefits to customers. The company highlights that these new prices make its premium models more accessible to Indian buyers, especially with the anticipated festive demand. Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, has stated that the brand is committed to progressive luxury and supporting policies that encourage growth and accessibility.
This move is significant because the festive season is a critical period for carmakers. By reducing prices, luxury vehicles become more appealing to a broader audience. Customers can verify exact pricing at dealerships or on the official website. Deliveries at the new prices will begin on September 22, 2025, the same day the GST 2.0 reforms take effect.
