2025 BMW iX3 Revealed – Rivals Audi Q6 e-tron & Mercedes GLC EV
BMW has unveiled the second-generation iX3 electric SUV, previewed earlier by the 2024 Vision Neue Klasse X concept. This marks the debut of BMW’s Neue Klasse EV lineup, engineered to deliver major gains in range, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. When it arrives, the iX3 will go head-to-head with the Audi Q6 e-tron and the forthcoming Mercedes GLC EV.

Battery, Range & Charging
The new iX3 packs a 108.7kWh (net) battery, offering a WLTP-certified range of 679–805km depending on the variant. Thanks to 800V architecture, it supports 400kW DC fast charging, enabling:

On AC, the SUV charges at 11kW as standard, with an optional 22kW upgrade available.
Performance & Variants
At launch, BMW will offer the iX3 50 xDrive variant, featuring a dual-motor setup with all-wheel drive. This configuration delivers 469hp and 645Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100kph sprint in 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 210kph. Additional variants are expected to join the lineup later. The WLTP-certified range for the Neue Klasse iX3 stands between 679km and 805km, depending on the version.
Exterior Design
The 2025 BMW iX3 also debuts the brand’s next-generation design language, blending aerodynamics with heritage cues. Measuring 4,782mm long, 1,895mm wide, and 1,635mm tall, the SUV achieves an impressive drag coefficient of 0.24Cd.

The 2025 BMW iX3 comes fitted with 20-inch alloy wheels as standard, while buyers can opt for 20- to 22-inch lightweight alloys as an upgrade. At the rear, the SUV sports wide tail-lamps with a modern take on BMW’s signature L-shaped design, featuring individually segmented light elements arranged in a slanted pattern. A sporty rear spoiler and bumper further enhance its dynamic stance.
