Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6: Brand’s First Electric Motorcycle Spotted Testing
Royal Enfield appears to be gearing up for its first-ever electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6, which was recently spotted on test runs in Chennai. The prototype, heavily camouflaged, reflects the neo-retro design language inspired by the World War II-era Flying Flea and the concept model showcased at EICMA 2024.
Key Highlights:
-
The Royal Enfield FF C6 was seen testing on city roads, reportedly in Chennai.
-
Features include a distinctive chassis, girder-style front forks, and a round headlamp.
-
A scrambler variant, the S6, could join the lineup at launch.
Built on the ‘L’ Platform
The new C6 is underpinned by Royal Enfield’s ‘L’ platform, developed exclusively for its electric range. Despite the camouflage, design cues remain faithful to the concept, with details like circular mirrors, a girder fork setup, and wavy, fin-like battery covers that serve both aesthetic and cooling functions.
A circular digital instrument console is expected, offering Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, music, and call access. The bike also features dual disc brakes with dual-channel ABS.
Although specifications remain undisclosed, the Flying Flea C6 is positioned as a premium, urban-focused electric motorcycle, with an official launch expected in early 2026.
